REVIEW

I've read the first book by Alex Lucian, Tempting, and I loved it. The best thing about this book is that it's completely standalone. You can easily read it without having read Tempting, but I recommend both anyway.

Beguiling follows the story of Leo and Scarlet, friends from childhood who now despise each other. Leo is cocky and humourous where Scarlet is shy and a bit up tight. Despite their differences , I liked them both and was rooting for them to get together.

I loved the sex scenes in this book, if there is one thing I knew about this book from Tempting, it was that the sex scenes would be on point! All of Alex Lucian's characters are sexy as fuck in their own ways.

Plot wise, I was satisfied, I wasn't blown away, the thing that gripped me most was the sex. But I loved the lightness of it and the humour, it was a really enjoyable, easy read. There are enough twists and turns to keep you interested and emotionally invested in the story.

My favourite bit, apart from the sexy bits, was the epilogue, it was EXACTLY my kind of HEA. Might not be everyones but for me it was perfect!! So I am incredibly thankful for that, this book was exactly what I needed right now. A lot of raunch with no stress! A great second book from Alex Lucian. Can't wait for the next one!
