ARC REVIEW: Exposed by Ivy Stone
We were on opposite sides of the law. He was a cop. She was a criminal. Together we were chaos. Our worlds collided with a violent crash, the impact stronger than either of us could have ever imagined. But we didn’t realize until the damage was done and we had more than just broken bones. Leaving our hearts unguarded only led to destruction. It exposed us both to a war we never saw coming. One explosive encounter brought us together. One infatuation led to a love like no other. One secret tore us apart.
First things first.... I loved this book!! I was in a bit of a book slump, bored with the predictiveness of some of the books I've read in quick succession, but this was a breath of refreshingly fresh fresh air!
Lindsey is a strong heroine, I love her, she has the strength of a mule and the roar of a lion!! She's awesome, she may not have the best past but she's damn sure not let it break her! Her love for her best friend and her sister are evident but she still feels she doesn't have any love to give. Enter Detective Mason Cole, set to prove he can win her heart.
The heat and chemistry between Mason and Lindsey is hot as! I love his dominant side but how he's also vulnerable. He's very swoonworthy! He's good at his job, born to protect people and even though he has every reason to doubt Lindsey, he's determined to love her in spite of anything and that is put to the test.
I loved the action in this book, it's a mafia crime read so you'll be hooked by the drama and addicted to the passion! I loved how this book ended!! It is a slight cliffhanger for another character but for Lindsey and Mason it's an awesome round off to their story, something I really needed!!
The next book is out on the 22nd of February and I can't wait, Ivy wrote such a good story with these two and I can't wait to read more of her work!
We were strangers. Two people on different paths that were never meant to cross. He saved me. I ruined her. We had no control. We were powerless against fate. It wasn’t wrong, it wasn’t right, but it was real. Ours was a toxic love. So lethal it was destined to ruin us both, and it did. In the end, everything went wrong for all the right reasons. Our lives divided. But our love would be infinite. A forbidden crush. A destructive romance. A fierce love. Roamyn & Alison An Unguarded Novel
