REVIEW: Entice by S.E. Hall
I was eagerly anticipating Sawyers story since the first book where he's introduced. He's always been portrayed as a fierce friend who is extremely loving and loyal, with a bit of a bad boy vibe and a good piece of equipment that he just can't keep in his pants. Enter Emmett.
Sawyer is so sweet and throughout the books you see his attitude towards relationships change. He craves what his friends have, that girl who comes along and changes everything. He falls hard for Emmett the moment he sees her, even if it's not in the most glorious of situations. Sawyer is determined to track her down and when he does, again it's not in the best position. He doesn't seem to have much luck with good timing.
Emmett is a sweet girl with more baggage than she deserves but Sawyer doesn't see it that way. What he does for Emmett is far more than any other man would do and it really just makes him my absolute favourite character! The book has a few twists and turns, moments where Sawyer has to prove himself. Emmett doesn't believe herself worthy of such affection and Sawyer is trying to do what he thinks is right but forgetting what's important.
You ultimately know that everything is going to work out fine because throughout the books you've grown to have complete faith in Sawyer. If he was a real person he is someone you would gladly have as your best friend. I didn't just fall for this book, I fell for the characters and even though there were times I thought 'wow, they're so young', they are actually all slightly different ages and you get to see them all grow together anyway, this book really shows how much they've grown.
I'd recommend this book even if you haven't read the rest of the evolve series but you will get so much more out of it if you do start from the beginning. I'm hoping there is another book on Zach's story, he deserves somebody too and now he's the only single one left!
Loved this book, loved Sawyer, loved Emmett, loved it all!
