REVIEW: Double Dare by R L Mathewson

If you want to find an author who doesn't disappoint, ever, then look no further. Once again, R L has delivered a funny. endearing, sexy, romantic story. The Bradfords are a family like no other. It never takes long to fall in love with them and Darrin is no exception at all. Only took a few words from him and you know that he is just a sweetheart. Of course, it doesn't hurt that he's sexy as hell, but he's loved Marybeth since he was 7 and he will do anything for her, it's incredibly romantic. Even though they torture each other (as you might guess from the title - double daring is there thing!), there is such chemistry there that you know it's all just foreplay!

Marybeth has a secret that she keeps from Darrin for nearly 12 years and at times I think she's selfish because despite telling him she doesn't want to get married, she still involves herself with Darrin for 6 years, essentially stringing him along. But you don't really dislike her for it, if anything you just want her to come out with the truth because you know that Darrin will love her anyway.

This book really does prove, more than any of the others, just how much the Bradford family care for eachother. The things they do for one another go above and beyond any normal family love. They are the most loyal, caring, loving family ever. You will adore them.

If I ever meet a real life Bradford so help me.

The sex scenes in this one are, as usual, hot as hell! They know eachother's bodies like the back of their hands and they occasionally use sex as a method of torture. But it's funny. You will be so emotionally invested by these characters. There are a lot of scenes that will get you hot under the collar and you will be gagging for the next book by the time you finish.

The next book is set to be about Reese, Darrins twin brother, by the looks of it. The teaser for it is pure torture! I really hope we don't have to wait too long for it but I also want to read the next Pyte novel so I will have to practice my patience!

You are advised to at least read The Game Plan if you are about to read this book. RL has very thoughtfully combined the two for those who haven't read it yet. The stories overlap a fair bit as they occur at the same time. The Game Plan is about Jodi and Danny (Darrin's older brother) who infuriate each other as much as any sexy neighbour from hell would. Obviously I recommend you read that too. Just read all of them really. You really can't go wrong!
