REVIEW: Beautifully Broken (If I Break Series) by Portia Moore

beautifully broken.jpg

My love of this series was once again all thanks to a freebie. The first book (If I Break) was very good, the end of it will leave your head spinning!! The second book (Before I Break) explains a lot and with the cliffhanger of the first one you really can't afford not to read on!! The third one (Almost Broken) leaves an even bigger cliffhanger, I was practically screaming at the book wanting to know what happens next!!

The whole plot is so clever and it's been so well researched. It is insane but the problems Lauren faces just make her seem like the ultimate heroine. She is so strong when most women would crumble under the stress of everything. Lauren and Cal's relationship is fighting against all odds, in reality I wonder if any woman would be able to cope with knowing so little about what their partner is up to. But it simply reinforces how much she loves him and she really is the only one for him.

The reasoning behind Cal's wierdness is one I can't share because it is so good that I feel it will ruin the book if you know. My advice would be not to read the book synopsis' after the first book either because the whole excitement of not knowing will really heighten your reading experience.

Again, there is the odd proof reading mistake, something I've come to accept from eBooks but this is so well written and there is a good amount of sex in it but really the plot is so good you wouldn't really miss the sex, and that's saying something!!

If you want a really fresh, interesting read, based on something that is a real problem then don't hesitate to read this!
